Dear Fitting Room

Dear Fitting Room,
Each time I walk in you and close the door a war begins.
Maybe I am the only one, but I am pretty certain that I am not.

A mental game begins where a promise is made to you that the next time I stand in this spot, it will be different. I will be different. No matter what it takes, it does not matter. I will do it.

I know for a fact that this stems from words that were repeated to me as a young, vulnerable teenage girl that I cannot seem to escape from my mind. The truth is, though, through my twenty-four years of living I have come to realize that I will not be different. No matter what that size is on the tag of an article of clothing or the number of pounds that appears on that scale, I am still the same person.

I am still a child of God. I am still wonderfully and perfectly made (Psalm 139:14). I am made in God's image, which as we know is completely flawless (Genesis 1:27). The reality is that I am already exactly what I need to be. No matter what any title or number or price seems to identify me in this world, none of it matters when it comes to God. He sees me just as I am and smiles. He knows my heart and my passions and my desires and loves me just the same.

Each time I walk in you and close the door a war begins.
Maybe I am the only one, but I am pretty certain that I am not.

Next time, you will not win.

That promise I made to you, I will uphold it because I am different. I am different in that I will not allow you to have any authority over me. I am not going to let you define me. From this point forward I will only look at myself in the mirror and rejoice that I am forgiven, loved, and created for a purpose that you have no influence over.

Thank you for helping me come to see that joy is not measured on your scale but on the Lord's. I look forward to when we meet again.

May Sponsor Highlight

I am seriously awe-struck that May is ending already! Where in the world has 2012 gone already? I have been blessed with some incredibly sweet sponsors and some amazing readers. Seriously, thank you to all of you! Thank you readers for joining me in this journey! Thank you sponsors for your support of The Pless Press! I am so appreciative of each and every one of you.

To let all of you readers have some new insight into these sweet sponsors I have asked them to share what one thing they could not live without. Here is what they have to share!

The one thing I couldn't live without is my family! I've always been super close to them, and I would be lost without them. They are my source of support, love, and entertaiment.

I couldn't live without the scriptures. They are the one thing that makes everything better in life. Reading the scriptures helps me find focus and keep a good perspective. Without the scriptures I would be a very lost soul.

I couldn't live without a camera. I'm the girl that picks out what cellphone I want, based on how good the camera is on it. I love my SLR, and can't imagine what it would be like not to have that in my life!

Oh, there is so many things I could not live without. You know the whole husband I got in the other room, he's a keeper. And those two crazy pups, life sure would be boring without. But lets get a little more serious, I could not live without my morning coffee. Maybe "live" is a bit dramatic, but I certainly could not function without it. I get a little too giddy for the cup in the morning, there is something about having a routine, and know that my day's schedule might be crazy...but I still got my morning coffee!

The one thing I currently could not live without is my Etsy App! I am a very busy person and always on the go! The App helps me manage my business wherever I am!

Thank you so much ladies for your sponsorship of The Pless Press this month! You are very much appreciated! If you are interested in sponsoring The Pless Press in any way, then please check out the Advertising page. I would love to have you! Have a great day everyone!

Highlights

Even though three day weekends typically mean that you are well rested for your four day work week, that is just not the case this go round but it was well worth it. We spent the weekend in Arkansas with C's family. We had a great time getting to see some friends and participating in the Memorial Day Golf Scramble. I am not in any way shape or form a golfer. I just ride along and take pictures; however, yesterday my allergies got the best of me and made the day slightly less enjoyable than normal. Note to self: Never wear contacts to a golf course again. Also, tell me C's grandpa is not the cutest thing in his Australian outback hat? We loved it. Just to let you know how serious they take their golf, we had 10 people in 3 carts. For real. The whole family wanted to watch and cheer them on, but with it being a big tournament that meant that we had to sacrifice space since all of the other teams wanted their carts as well. All in all, it was a great weekend!

In case you were wondering, the beach vaca count down begins today! T-3 days! I. Cannot. Wait. I hope you all had a great week and an even better day!

Unreached People Group Prayer

This has been a very exciting month! Thank you for joining me in praying for the people around the world that have not had the opportunity to hear about the gospel and what an incredible God there is who desires to give them life and forgiveness and grace. I cannot believe we are on the last week, but here it goes!

Week 4 of the Unreached People Group Prayer
(Fill in the blanks with the name of a specific unreached people group)

Day 1
Luke 7:41-48
""A creditor had two debtors. One owed 500 denarii, and the other 50. Since they could not pay it back, he graciously forgave them both. So, which of them will love him more?" Simon answered, "I suppose the one he forgave more." "You have judged correctly," He told him. Turning to the woman, He said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for My feet, but she with her tears, has washed My feet and wiped them with her hair. You gave Me no kiss, but she hasn't stopped kissing My feet since I came in. You didn't anoint My head with oil, but she has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. Therefore I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven; that's why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little." Then He said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."
Pray that the ______________________ will have a right heart before Jesus and "love much." All the knowledge we can teach them about Jesus is worthless if it does not produce a right heart.

Day 2
Luke 8:15
"But the seed in the good ground -- these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring, bear fruit."

Pray that both we and the ______________________ would with good hearts hear, retain, persevere, and produce a crop.

Day 3
Luke 9:24
"For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will save it."

Pray both we and the ______________________ will learn to give up our lives for Jesus so that we can find true life.

Day 4
Luke 9:62
"But Jesus said to him, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.""

Pray new Christians among the ______________________ will not turn back.

Day 5
Luke 10:2
"He told them: "The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few. Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest."

Pray that God will send workers from the ______________________ back into the harvest field.

Day 6
Luke 10:13
"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes!"

Pray that the ______________________ will respond to the Lord's miracles in true repentance.

Day 7
Luke 10:27
"He answered: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself."

Pray that the ______________________ will love the Lord with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind.

Day 8
Luke 10:30-37
"Jesus took up (the question) and said: "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him, beat him up, and fled, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down that road. When he saw him, he passed by on the other side. In the same way, a Levite when he arrived at the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan on his journey came up to him, and when he saw (the man), he had compassion. He went over to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said, "Take care of him. When I come back I'll reimburse you for what extra you spend." Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?" "The one who showed mercy to him," he said. Then Jesus told him, "Go and do the same."

Pray that we will go out of our way to show mercy to the ______________________.

Day 9
Luke 10:39
"She had a sister named Mary, who also sat at the Lord's feet and was listening to what He said."

Pray that we would turn from our busy-ness and sit at the feet of Jesus.

Jesus came into the world 2,000 years ago to reveal God's plan to bring all people into a right relationship with Himself. But the task is not complete until every nation and every people of every language have heard. Ask Jesus what part He desires you to play in completing the unfinished task of loving the lost.
